Undergraduate programs

1)Physical Therapy major

Movement is a science for a healthier way of life. With disease structures becoming more complex and society rapidly aging, there is need for leaps and bounds in physical therapy. Physical therapy has a broad learning foundation that relates to the structures, functions and sicknesses of the body, and is a science that supports the lifestyles of persons with physical handicaps or impediments. It has been aggressively promoted in recent years as an application for maintaining and improving health. This major aims to develop physical therapists, educators and researchers armed with a rich human nature and sound knowledge for standing at the forefront of the rehabilitation field.

2)Occupational Therapy major

In this major, lifestyles are treated as a science in order to nurture practical skill in Occupational Therapy. It prepares students to become “Occupational Therapists” and thereby help persons young and old with physical and/or psychosocial dysfunction to maintain and improve their ability to lead occupational performance and adapt to society through various types of activities. Occupational therapy deals with “lifestyles” from the perspective of mental and physical capacities, activities, social participation and environments. Students are imparted knowledge in medicine, human development, human activity, environments, social welfare and more, and given practical training on campus. Their ability to practice rehabilitation is deepened and nurtured through staged-in clinical practice from the second year.
